# Avatars

Your avatar is your profile picture across SpaceKeep — it appears on your profile and throughout the platform.

## Uploading an avatar

1. Go to [Appearance settings](https://spacekeep.dev/settings/appearance).
2. Choose **Upload Avatar**.
3. Select an image file.
4. Adjust the crop if needed.
5. Save.

## Requirements

| Requirement | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **Formats** | JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF |
| **Max file size** | 5 MB |

## Tips

- Use a square image for best results
- Your avatar appears at multiple sizes, so choose something that looks good small
- A clear, recognizable image works best
