# API Overview

The SpaceKeep API lets you interact with SpaceKeep data programmatically — profiles, projects, skills, and more.

## Base URL

The API is available at:

```
https://api.spacekeep.dev
```

## Authentication

Most API endpoints require authentication. SpaceKeep uses token-based authentication — include your token in the request to access protected endpoints.

## Rate limiting

The API enforces rate limits to ensure fair usage. If you exceed the limit, you will receive an error response.

## API organization

The API is organized around REST resources:

- **Auth** — sign up, log in, manage sessions
- **Profiles** — view and manage profiles
- **Projects** — manage projects
- **Skills** — manage skills
- **Links** — manage links
- **Badges** — view and earn badges
- **Settings** — manage account settings
